Ganesh Tekdi Mandir
If you’re riding over the Lohapul Bridge in the early morning hours or walking through the traffic near Nagpur Railway Station is a low-key delight. Just from couple of steps afar you will hear the bell sounds from Ganesh Tekdi Mandir.
Ganesh Tekdi Mandir, just as the name suggests is built on the hill mount formerly known as Sitabuldi Tekdi. The temple is one of the oldest monuments in the city. Its origin can be traced back to its date in 1980s.
Backed by facts and stories of the past
During the times when Sitabuldi hill was being exploded to create space for the railway station, Lord Swayambhu the deity who resides in the temple made its appearance.
Swayambhu means self-formed or self-evolved. Devotees from far and across visit Ganesh Tekdi Mandir. The place and it’s surroundings emit a wholly positive and spiritual aura.
People shifted to other suburbs and metropolitan cities for work and education duly danced their attendance to meet their happy lord deity.
