Feng Shui considers water to be one of the main elements. It is believed that it brings good fortune and luck. Flowing waters can bring wealth to a place and increase positive energy. It is auspicious to have a flowing, clean water body like the one shown in the above image within two kilometers of your home. You can have a small pond, a lake, or a stream, around your house.

Don’t buy a house near a cemetery

Don't buy a house near a cemetery

Never buy or own a house near a graveyard or cemetery. Such places are said to be in and unsuitable for home. You should not buy a house that is near a graveyard, like the one in the above picture. A house situated near a graveyard will likely cause paranoia, and the residents may feel a sense of unease and discomfort. It could have an impact on their physical and mental health.

Avoid buying a house near a T-junction

Avoid buying a house near a T-junction

In Feng Shui, the T- junction is considered unlucky. Your house will be in the poison-arrow position if it’s built in a similar location to the one shown above. You will see a lot of bright lights and cars approaching you in such a position. It can create negative energy that is harmful to the people who live there. This type of house placement is known to cause family disputes and a lack of harmony between members. Negative Qi may also affect your mental health.

First Look of the House

By looking at the place, you can tell immediately if it has positive Qi or notes of good energy. You must inspect the entire house before buying it. Is it clean and bright? Does it have greenery like the image above? According to Feng Shui clean spaces and greenery bring good fortune and luck.

A Good Neighbourhood

A Good Neighbourhood

It is surprising to learn that a neighborhood with positive energy can also help to bring positive Qi into your home. Feng Shui when buying a home suggests you pay attention to the surroundings. Is it well maintained and clean like the image shown above? Are the trees barely alive or are they flourishing? How do you feel in this area specifically? The homes in a good neighborhood will reflect the positive vibes of its community.

Home History

Home History

If you are considering buying a home, one of the best tips for Feng Shui is to find out the history of a place. The land and walls in a place are said to absorb the energy from everything that happens there. If there are negative patterns associated with a home, it could also affect your life. You should find out if there were any untimely deaths or divorces, as well as unhappy families.

The placement of trees can have a positive or negative impact on the movement of energy in space. You will see in the above image that there are tall trees behind the house and a few shrubs near the front and side. It is best to avoid houses with such a layout.

Entrance to a house according to Feng Shui

Entrance to a house according to Feng Shui

When considering Feng Shui when buying a home remember that the entryway or entrance has a unique place. This area of the house is called the mouth of Qi because it is here that positive energy enters your home. It is important to make it welcoming.
Avoid a straight drive leading up to the front door of your house. This can have a “poison arrow” effect. Choose a home with a curved driveway, as shown in the above image.
Keep an eye out for other details, such as how easy it is to locate the house entrance. Did you have trouble finding the house? There may be two formal entrances which could confuse guests. You may have difficulty finding the entrance to a home if you are surrounded by good energy.
