Agricultural Land Should Always be Levelled

Under no circumstances should there be more than one level on a piece of agricultural land. This is essential for good plot leveling. Anyhow, if a specific piece of agricultural land has multiple levels, the slopes of the land must necessarily point north or east. If a land block slopes downward towards the west or south, the landowner’s expenses are more significant than his revenue. As a result, his overall profit is zero.

The Shape of the Agricultural Plot

An agricultural land parcel must be square or rectangular. South-West or South-East cuts should be made in a different area of land. For the plot to have a regular shape, a brick wall, a soil boundary raised by at least 2-3 feet, or any compound wall must be built or removed.

Placement of the Boring and Underground Tank for Water Storage

Ideal locations for the drilling and underground water storage tanks should be on the Eastern and Northern sides, facing North-East. According to Vastu, wells should be placed somewhere other than the southeast, northwest, or southwest since these orientations would cause significant losses to agricultural land. Ideal drainage should be constructed from the south towards the north to deliver water to the crops.

Constructing a Farmhouse

If you have to construct a farmhouse or hut alongside the agricultural property, it must be done along the southwestern side of the land. The farmhouse’s furnishings should all be placed following Vastu principles.

Recommended Position for Kennels or Cattle Sheds

According to Vastu, kennels or cattle sheds should better be located in the northwest or southeast corners for agricultural land. The northwest corner, associated with Vayu (the God of the Winds), promotes air circulation and ventilation, giving the animals a healthy atmosphere. On the other hand, it is stated that the southeast corner, which is associated with Agni (the God of fire), boosts animal output.
