4. Chrysojasminum Parkeri (Dwarf Jasmine)

The dwarf jasmine plant, often called Parker or Himalayan jasmine, typically reaches a height of 12 inches. These bushes produce stunning trumpet-shaped yellow flowers. How to Grow Jasmine Flower Plant with Seeds

Find below a few simple steps to grow a Jasmine Flower Plant at home using seeds.

  1. Choose the Correct Location: Position the plant to receive six to eight hours of sunlight. In both full and partial sun, the jasmine flower plant flourishes.
  2. Set up the area: Get your plant a lovely pot. The pot should have holes in the bottom to let the water drain out. Making a hole in your garden is another possibility.
  3. Prepare the Soil: The optimum soil for growing jasmine plants is well-drained. It needs to be combined with moderately fertile soil and organic matter. The ideal range for the soil’s pH is 6.5 to 7.5.
  4. Plant the seeds: Plant the seeds in the ground and then lightly cover them with the earth.
  5. Watering the Plant: During warm seasons, you should water your jasmine plant several times weekly. Make sure the soil is dry before watering it, though. Just give it a weekly watering to ensure regularity.

How to Grow Jasmine Flower Plant with Cuttings

Here are a few simple steps you can follow to grow a Jasmine Plant using a stem cutting.

  1. Make the proper cut: Just below the leaves, trim a healthy, green stem from your jasmine plant. This section of the stem sprouts more readily.
  2. Remove the Leaves: When planting a jasmine plant, ensure none of its leaves are below the soil’s surface.
The remaining procedures are the same as they are for seeds.

How to Take Care of Jasmine Flower Plant at Home

Here is how you can take care of a fully grown Jasmine Plant at home.

Watering: During the spring and summer, you should water your plant every day. But be careful to allow the soil to dry out in between waterings. Extend the time between waterings if the soil is not drying out as quickly as you would like.

Fertilising: Here are some high potassium fertilisers you can use to fertilise your Jasmine Plant-

  • Tomato fertiliser
  • Wood ash
  • Seaweed fertilisers

You can easily find the suitable fertilisers at nurseries or nearby gardening store.

Preventing Bugs: Here are a few oils and mixtures that you can spray to save your plants from bugs.

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Neem oil
  • Liquid Insecticidal soap
