Tips Before Planning a Griha Pravesh Ceremony

The perfect time to show off your new home to your loved ones is at a housewarming party. Here are a few pointers to assist you more effectively and stress-free in getting ready for the Griha Pravesh ceremony.

Finish the Construction: Griha Pravesh puja should only be performed once the construction has been completed. When the house is ready and the construction work, including the fixtures, furniture, woodwork, paint, etc., is finished, you must enter the property.

Pick an Auspicious Day: An auspicious date must be chosen for your Griha Pravesh puja. Even though there are numerous auspicious days during the holiday seasons, the months of Vaishakh, Magh, Jyeshtha, and Phalgun are the most suitable for a Griha Pravesh ritual. In contrast, the months of Bhadrapada, Paush, Ashadha, Shravan, and Ashwin are not considered ideal for entering the house.

Verify the Vastu: Your home must adhere to Vastu principles. This is especially true of the home’s main entryway and puja room.

Remove the Negative Energies: According to Vastu, a clean environment produces more good energy. Therefore, before the Griha Pravesh ceremony begins, removing all the mud and outdated furnishings is vital. Cleanse your space thoroughly and remove all bad energy.

Pay attention to the Direction: You should perform the Griha Pravesh puja in 2023 on one of the lucky days stated above, and you should also make sure to position the idols in your home’s East-facing direction.

Decorate Your Home: You must decorate your home in order to prepare for the Griha pravesh. Particularly the main door, known as the Simha Dwara and regarded as the face of the Vastu Purush. It would be best to utilize mango leaves and flowers to adorn your home’s front door. On both sides of the main entryway, a swastika or other spiritual symbol is required.

Make the Havan Kund Properly Setup: On the day of your Griha Pravesh, you must execute the havan rite to purify the aura of your house. The herbs utilized during havan produce smoke that purifies the environment and draws positive energy.
