The History Behind Supertech Twin Towers
After approving a plot in November 2004, Supertech Limited began constructing the group housing society named Emerald Court. New Okhla Industrial Development Area Building Regulations & Directions approved a plan for 14 towers. Supertech Limited leased additional land in 2006. The previous project included a provision for a garden near T-1. Two more towers were approved in the second sanction. These T-16, Apex, and T-17 towers, also known as Cyane and Ceyane, are the famous Supertech twin towers.
Residents claim that the Supertech twin towers T-16 and T-17 violate the UP Apartments Act 2010. The original plan had been modified, and consent was required from all buyers. This was something that the builders refused to do. In this matter, the Noida authorities were found to have been in collaboration. The Supertech twin towers, fire safety, and open space norms were all broken. The Allahabad High Court was the one that ordered demolition. The Supreme Court upheld this ruling in August 2021. The Supertech Twin Towers Case History

The distance between towers T-1 & T-17 was maintained at 9m. This violated NBR 2006, which stipulates that two buildings must be at least half the height of each other. Cyane is 97m high and has 31 floors, while Apex has 32 feet at 100m. 9m is the distance between the two structures. The demolition company, an expert in implosion, has a plan to cause the building to fall floor by floor. Supertech Twin Towers Builder Declared Bankrupt
Supertech Limited, the builder of Supertech twin towers, is officially bankrupt. The company has around INR 1200 crore in debt. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) declared the company bankrupt. The Union Bank of India granted the company a loan amount of INR 150 million in 2013 when it asked for loans from different banks and financial institutions. Other institutions offered smaller amounts to the company. Union Bank of India filed a complaint with NCLT after it became aware of a default in loan payments. The bankruptcy court declared the Supertech twin towers builders bankrupt in March 2022. The court ordered that insolvency proceedings be initiated for the company.
