Significance of Basant Panchami 2023

Vasant Panchami, sometimes called Basant Panchami, is an important holiday for Hindus. Go Yellow on Basant Panchami 2023

This festival’s affinity with the color yellow sets it apart from others. It is stated that Goddess Saraswati prefers the color yellow. People dress up in yellow ethnic clothing, such as yellow saris, kurtas, and suits, to celebrate the occasion. To commemorate the event, prepare yellow desserts or cuisine, decorate your home with yellow curtains and flowers, and dress the goddess in yellow attire.

Conduct Saraswati Puja

Steps to carry out Saraswati Puja on Basant Panchami

  • As is customary in every Hindu puja ceremony, you will pray to Lord Ganesha before worshipping Goddess Saraswati. Place the Saraswati idol on an elevated platform. Place the Ganesha statue next to her.
  • Place your reading material, musical instruments, art supplies, and other learning and creative tools next to or at the idols’ feet.
  • Put mango leaves on the Kalash after it has been filled with water and place them close to the idols on the elevated stage.
  • On a plate, make the swastika sign with turmeric. On the same dish, arrange the delicacies offered to the gods.
  • Turn on an oil lamp and some incense.
  • To begin the prayer ceremony, chant the Ganesha Mantra.
  • Saraswati Vandana should follow this. Following that, the Maa Saraswati Mantras and Aarti can be recited. It is also suggested to recite the Saraswati Stotra to seek the blessings of the goddess.
  • Sit in the prayer position for some time, chanting mantras to absorb the good vibrations. Encourage your children and other family members to do the same.
